2022 Christmas Horse Parade
Presented by the Germantown & German Township Parks & Recreation Board
December 10th, 2022
Parade: 5:30-6p
Christmas in the Park: 6-7:30p

Welcome to Germantown’s Christmas Horse Parade & Christmas in the park! We are so glad you are here!

We are excited to bring joy & cheer to the City of Germantown! We do not have a limit on participants, but we are offering the ability to participate as volunteers from our community and surrounding communities.

We encourage as many participants as we can fit down the streets!

As this event will be in the evening, we encourage participants to dress in holiday spirit, including your equine friends. Lights and decorations are welcomed and encouraged!

As dress up takes time, we will open for set up at 4:30p. Lineup will start about 5:20p, with the parade starting at 5:30p.

The parade route will be one large loop around town. So, you will conveniently loop back around to the parking lot after dropping Santa off at the Veterans Memorial Park. The entire route is approximately 1.25 miles.

We kindly ask following the parade you tidy up your area of the parking lot before leaving. All folks assisting are & would appreciate not cleaning up ALL the poo. Haha!

Thank you again to the Dupps Co. for providing us with the perfect parking lot! This is located at the corner of Montgomery and N Cherry (GPS use 636 N Cherry St., Germantown, Ohio 45327). Animals & parade participants will use the SW parking lot (fenced). Emergency service vehicles & tractors will be setting up in the NW parking lot.

The parade route will be Cherry(S), Center(W), Walnut(N), Warren(E-back to Cherry)

Please reach out to ASAP to advise how many will be in your group, we are expecting a good turnout & want to make sure there is room to accommodate everyone.

Storm Water Friendly Watering Tips

  • Direct your downspouts to a depressed area or a garden bed so water soaks into the yard instead of rushing out into the streets.
  • Use rain barrels to store rainwater from downspouts
  • Do not over water. Excessive watering can lead to runoff, which wastes both water and chemicals you may have added to your lawn.
  • Incorporate swales and berms to your landscaping so runoff is contained and does not leave your yard.
